About Us

reKnowledge analytics platform is designed to streamline complex investigations such as intelligence, cyber and fraud investigations. It empowers domain experts to gather evidence seamlessly and explore and query their body of evidence through an interactive analytical workbench.

Investment highlights

We are raising £1.5 Mn to scale the team, develop the platform and accelerate the growth. On the platform side, we will focus this round of investment on three key areas:

Creating an AI agent to help with events collection (a critical requirement for most of our clients)

Enhance the knowledge management capabilities of the platform and its seamless enterprise integration

Develop new analytical capabilities to offer our clients a genuine alternative to incumbent such as IBM I2. On the commercial side, we need to increase our sales team to efficiently target the private intelligence industry and immediately adjacent markets such as fraud and compliance teams of large groups.

Vision and value proposition

While the initial value of reKnowledge is to streamline research and help our clients save money, the long term vision for reKnowledge is much more ambitious. We have put the foundation for a radical transformation of how knowledge is created, maintained, and leveraged to inform decision-making with our platform.

By providing our clients with the ability to build an entirely data-driven situational awareness, they will better inform and support the decision-makers they work for. Ultimately, reKnowledge will provide its users with a critical edge in managing and leveraging knowledge, whether for business, advocacy or national security purposes.

The Problem

Because complex investigations rely first and foremost on gathering, consolidating and investigating unstructured data, it is highly labour-intensive work. Furthermore, because of the lack of tools readily available to domain experts, they are forced to use essential tools such as excel and word to consolidate, organise and analyse their body of evidence.

Not only are such investigations costly to conduct, but they also lead to intelligence failure. From the inability to catch fraudsters to the challenge of providing timely and actionable intelligence to decision-makers, many of the shortcomings in intelligence are not grounded in the lack of information but rather the inability to leverage the information available quickly and efficiently.

Target Market and Opportunity

Our first go-to-market is the private intelligence industry. From our market research, we have identified 277 companies with a combined 217K employees globally. Of those, about 60% are analysts and consultants that would benefit from reKnowledge. At the current price of £1775 per user and per year, this would translate into a global addressable market of £231M.

In addition to this first go-to-market, we are already selling our platform to a few immediately adjacent markets. In particular, reKnowledge has been used very successfully to investigate cyber attacks. We also have compliance and fraud investigations teams from insurance and retail companies that use reKnowledge to find fraudulent activities from their data faster.

The Solution

The reKnowledge platform stands out in the analytics platform space by its unique approach to knowledge management and its decisively human-centric focus. In terms of knowledge management, we have embraced the complex knowledge management paradigm.

Whereas in the traditional model, data feeds into information that is transformed into knowledge and intelligence, we believe the relationship between those elements is more complex. Indeed, we believe that data and information support knowledge and intelligence as much as knowledge and intelligence inform data and information.

In practice, this means we do not collect silo data on one side and knowledge on the other. Both are combined in one environment. In addition, with our web browser add-on, we empower analysts to carry their institutional knowledge (and interact with it) on any webpage.

Ultimately, reKnowledge aims to make one’s knowledge available everywhere (on phones and tablets, on every application and systems on computers…) reKnowledge is human-centric. It is designed to fit into existing, human-led workflows. In addition, we have developed our platform to be used by domain experts without technical skills.

And finally, our approach to AI is very human-centric too. We believe the only way to develop AI capable of understanding information in context and identifying and tracking risk-relevant indicators can only be achieved through a supervised approach.

reKnowledge are designed onset to enable AI agents to “listen” in every action made by the analysts and learn from those.

Business Model

We have a subscription-based licensing model. For the current version of the platform, we charge £1775 per user and per year. Typically, reKnowledge is installed on the client premises (server or cloud).

This way, the client retains complete control over its data and who accesses it. In addition to the base licensing price, we plan to create a marketplace of data connectors so that the users can quickly import and map data from their preferred provider.

Traction and validation

Since launching the enterprise version of the platform, we have had three paid clients (one cyber defence unit, one fraud investigation unit from an insurance company and one of the leading private intelligence companies in the world).

We also have trials and commercial discussions with dozens of private intelligence companies and fraud and compliance teams.

Two French universities have selected the platform to support their Master students in business intelligence.

Marketing and Sales Strategy

Currently, our marketing strategy focuses primarily on LinkedIn. In addition, we have a blog where we regularly publish posts illustrating the power of reKnowledge to investigate complex questions.

In terms of sales, we have a direct sales approach. In addition, we have developed a few affiliates partnerships to help spread the word about reKnowledge to a new market (US and France in particular)
